African Canadian Heritage Association
The African Canadian Heritage Association is an African Heritage and language program operating out of a new location at Centennial College Progress Campus. The ACHA program features African history lessons, arts and crafts, special events for students, who range in age from 5 to 16 years of age. Classes run from September to June.
African Canadian Services Division
The African Canadian Services Division, located within the Public Schools Branch of the Nova Scotia Department of Education, was established in February of 1996 to implement the Department's response to the BLAC Report on Education, Redressing Inequity Empowering Black Learners.
Black Cultural Centre for Nova Scotia
The genesis of the Black Cultural Centre lay in a proposal put forward in 1972 by Reverend Dr. William Pearly Oliver for the creation of a Cultural Educational Centre to meet the needs and aspirations of the Black Communities of Nova Scotia.

For well over 20 years, the Black Studies Centre (BSC) has been providing a wide range of services to the Montreal community and to its various institutions.
Canadian Association of African Studies
The Association officially came into being in 1970 when the Canadian Committee on African Studies became the new Canadian Association of African Studies. Since then CAAS has expanded geographically and now has members in all parts of the world.
Canadian Association for Latin American and Caribbean Studies
The Canadian Association for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CALACS) was founded in 1969 at York University in North York, Ontario. The Association was formed with the following purposes in mind: to facilitate networking and information exchange among persons, in Canada and abroad, engaged in teaching and research on Latin America and the Caribbean; to foster especially within Canadian universities, colleges, and other centres of higher education, the expansion of information on and interest in Latin America and the Caribbean; and to represent the academic and professional interests of Canadian Latin Americanists.

Council of Canadians of African and Caribbean Heritage

Ontario Black Anti-Racist Research Institute
This site brings to your attention several very important cases that are before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Ontario Human Rights Commission, Superior Court of Justice (Divisional Court), Ontario Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada and various Administrative Agencies, Boards and Tribunals, in Canada, in relation to discrimination and harassment, unsafe working conditions, reprisal actions, under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ontario Human Rights Code and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

African Studies Association
The African Studies Association was founded in 1957 as a non-profit organization open to all individuals and institutions interested in African affairs. Its mission is to bring together people with a scholarly and professional interest in Africa. The ASA also provides information and support services to the Africanist community. Four periodicals are currently produced annually: African Issues (Formerly Issue: A Journal of Opinion), ASA News, African Studies Review, and History in Africa. With 2,500 individual and institutional members, the ASA is the leading North American organization that promotes African studies.The ASA is hosted by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Caribbean Studies Association
The Caribbean Studies Association (CSA) is an independent professional organization devoted to the promotion of Caribbean Studies from a multidisciplinary and multicultural point of view. The CSA - founded in 1974 by 300 Caribbean specialists - now has more than 1000 members from throughout the world. The Caribbean Studies Association is not dependent on any public or private institution. Membership is open to anyone interested in the advancement of its aims and objectives, regardless of academic discipline, profession, ideology, place of residence, ethnic origin or nationality.
NSBE USA
The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) with more than 10,000 members, is the largest student-managed organization in the states. NSBE's mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
